Hello and welcome to another episode of the Health Upgrade Podcast




In this episode, we are exploring Vagus Nerve Stimulation for Migraines with Dr. Michael Hoffmann. We discuss the link between mitochondrial dysfunction and neurological diseases, as well as the role of the immune system in brain health.




Today on the Health Upgrade Podcast, we were honored to have Dr. Michael Hoffmann with us. He is a neurologist and obtained his medical degree from the University of Witwaters Brand in Johannesburg, South Africa. He completed his neurological subspecialty training and stroke from Columbia University.




He is passionate about connecting overall brain health with physical exercise and its multitude of benefits. To lead by example, Dr. Hoffmann engages in regular physical activity, such as kayaking, swimming, biking, and marathon running. His accomplishments include completing the Ironman Triathlon 70.3 in 2010, being appointed to the US Marathon Kayak Team in 2003, and participating in a variety of full and ultra-marathons. Dr. Hoffmann strives to show his patients what is possible through his own physical health journey.
