China-US relations at a 'complex and challenging' time

It has been almost three decades since the end of the Cold War and the world order has changed since then. The relations between China and US, the two major powers in this age, are always under the spotlight. Focusing on a series of issues regarding the Korean Peninsula, South China Sea and Taiwan, attendees of the 7th World Peace Forum interpret Sino-US relations from different perspectives.

Frictions in many significant areas actually represent existing strong bonds between the two big nations. The root of the disputes between the two countries is whether to maintain the world order constructed by the US, or to seek a new one which is in the interest of many other countries.
