Job Descrptions


He/she will be part of the horizontal retail team driving synergies between CDO (Categories) and Ekart (Logistics and Supply-chain) primarily & multiple other peripheral teams.
He/she will be responsible for effectively running and controlling material flow (or multiple flows) for Flipkart Inventory led business & create efficiencies by
improving current processes and implementing new. Thus, enabling faster turnarounds in business flows & the value (working capital/cash flow) associated with the same.
He/she will be the single POC for all category functions for operational planning and controls.
He/she will act as an Operations Command center and will be gauging the periodic process performance through the numbers coming out of several source systems in Flipkart.
He should be able to interpret the numbers to find out the bottlenecks of operations and troubleshoot them with the right stakeholders.
He will be expected to set several reporting formats that will be used to interpret the health of operations.
He/She will be responsible for operational effectiveness of the assigned flow/flows and will be measured on metrics like TATs, Productivity,
utilization level , Vendor Experience, stuck Working capital released etc. He/she will be working with cross functional teams spread across Flipkart.
The role demands understanding operations through numbers and is desirable to index on data interpretation skills.
He/She has to deal with daily ambiguities to problem solve the issues ensuring unblocking material flows within TATs and
also contribute to design corrections to enable us develop long term solves for the process defects . Other Job Requirements:
Plan and coordinate activities that affect operational decisions and business requirements Lead product interactions for system solutioning of manual
workflows Manage On-role / off-role (Outsourced) teams for day to day operations Responsible for the planning of daily operations while balancing upstream
and downstream supply chain assets Communicate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure delivery times are met Run Short term and long term projects
independently for operational goodness across flows Plans, schedules, and reviews workload and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a
cost-effective basis Works across several dashboards while also developing some himself/herself to ensure data availability to operational decision making
Will also develop many decision making frameworks helping others/dependent teams to take effective decisions

Skills Required:
Self starter & willing to work in dynamic and ambiguous scenarios - Strong bias for action & fast decision making -
Strong Communication and stakeholder management of highest degree possible - Team management and people skills - Execution focused

Desirable Skills:
MBA (Operations Preferable) - 4-5 Yrs exp in retail ops domain - Project management experience (certifications if any) - Additional Lean ,
Six Sigma certifications & data analytics certifications preferred
