Toyota GR86 VS Mazda MX 5 Miata | Slow Car Comparison!

👋 In todays head to head comparison we are taking a look at two very fun and affordable sportscar!
The Toyota GR86 and the Mazda MX-5 Miata! These are two of the best handling cars you can buy, they aren't the fastest, but they sure can put a smile on your face and while they have different body styles, they are extremely similar!
The Toyota GR86 is a fantastic Toyota sportscar that offers the backseat space, which is really extra interior storage along with a big truck which makes it a great daily driving sportscar that's also very practical!
The Mazda MX-5 Miata is a hardtop convertible that has some storage, but it's just a two seater! So if you want maybe a second car or you just don't have much to transport often, it's a great option!
While the exterior styling and interior looks differ greatly, the driving experience for these cars is nearly identical! We had the chance to drive both the Toyota GR86 and the Mazda MX-5 Miata on the Tail of the Dragon and were blown away with how well they handled the curvy roads! Easily the two most fun cars that day! These aren't straight line performance cars by any means, but horsepower isn't everything with a car. The handling and driving experience with the feedback is what really makes a car fun! You can get both of these with an automatic transmission as well, which the Toyota GR86 at the Tail of the Dragon had, and it was fine, but personally with how little horsepower these cars have, the manual makes it so much more fun!
These two cars can carry their weight well through turns and that's where they shine! You could have a vehicle with twice or three times the horsepower and not loose these two cars because of their handling!
Truly two amazing cars and for the price, you are getting into an "entry" level type of car, but it's also something that you can learn more about performance driving, without having too much power to try and focus on. You can really start to learn about the cars, how they drive, and how you can react and steer the vehicle. So it's a great way to get into that type of driving, but it's also a great car for an experienced driver! So it's a car that you can enjoy for a long time!
It just boils down to wanting the convertible or a coupe!
