United Nations - In April 2014, fighting in the region raged on for months forcing residents to flee their homes. Some 6,000 people have lost their lives during the conflict. Now a new truce deal reached by international mediation in February 2015 hopes to prevent the situation in Ukraine from spinning out of control.
