Say hello to the 2026 Ferrari 296 Speciale. Yep, if you thought the 'regular' 296 wasn't capable enough, the new Speciale flagship has come along to take its track performance to the next level – or maybe stratosphere. As such, it follows in the tyre tracks of the 360-based Challenge Stradale, 430 Scuderia, 458 Speciale and 488 Pista, all of which were of a similar breed.

The latest Speciale formula is simple: take the 296's 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 engine and increase its outputs to 515kW of power (+27kW). But because it's a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), there's also an electric motor that the wick turned up to 132kW. This combination delivers 647kW, enabling a 0-100km/h acceleration time of just 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 330km/h.
