Lebanese rush to Red Cross centres in Beirut to donate blood as the number of casualties and injuries rise following Israeli bombardment in Lebanon.

“This is our duty. If we can’t contribute financially, or help in any other way, it’s the least we can do for our people,” said one donor.

The Lebanese health minister said 72 people were killed and more than 220 injured on Wednesday, on the third day of major Israeli raids across the country.
