In this motivational video, I share my personal story of how going sober at 19 changed my life for the better. After starting university in 2021 I found myself becoming increasingly lonely, which resulted in a detoriation of my mental heath and in turn a problem with alcohol. From struggling with addiction to finding a sense of purpose and direction, my journey to sobriety has been a transformative experience that has impacted my mental health, relationships, and overall well-being (it took me 7 times to get there). By adopting a sober mindset and incorporating mindfulness practices into my daily routine, I've been able to achieve a level of emotional health and mental clarity that I never thought possible (not 100% sure on this... but my mental clarity is alot better, I mean no hangovers). If you're struggling with addiction or simply looking for inspiration to make healthy choices, my story is proof that it's never too early to make a change and start living a life of purpose and intention. Through my experiences, I've learned the importance of self-care strategies, self-discovery, and surrounding yourself with a supportive community ( and also taking control), all of which have been instrumental in my growth and success.
