My trio, Alpen Musikanten had the honour of performing a mini-concert at one of Melbourne's most popular world music venues, Open Studio Bar & Cafe in Northcote, for an enthusiastic and diverse audience comprising of many different nationalities and age groups, including people who had not heard of Slovenian Oberkrainer or Alpine folk music, or even Slovenia. I'd like to share a few of my favourite moments from our performance.
