Facts about Samasta Junction....
Samasata Junction Railway Station is located in Samasata town, Bahawalpur district of Punjab province, Pakistan. The station served as the junction between the Karachi–Peshawar Railway Line and the now defunct Samasata–Amruka Branch Line (and onwards to the Bahawalnagar–Fort Abbas Branch Line)
1.......Samasta – Amaruka Branch Line, the line started from Samasta Junction and ended at Amaruka. The total length of this railway line is 257 km (160 mi) with 20 railway stations. This railway line was opened in 1894 and closed in 2011. However, recently efforts are underway to reopen the line. Rail tracks are Samasta-Amaruka section (Total cost: PKR 7.735 billion)

2.....Bahawalnagar – Fort Abbas branch line started from Bahawalnagar Junction and ended at Fort Abbas. The total length of this railway line is 84 km (52 ​​mi) with 4 railway stations. The branch line was initially called the Bahawalnagar Fort Abbas Railway and was a Durbar line financed by the State of Bahawalpur. The line opened in 1928 as part of the Northwestern State Railway network. The line was owned by the Bahawalpur State Darbar, which also owned the Khanpur-Chhacharan Railway, and formed an important part of the NWR network. After the independence of Pakistan, this line became part of the Pakistan Railway network. But then this railway line was closed on 26 July 2011.
