The game has fps drops every 4/5 seconds for about half a second

After trading emails with Riot support for 2 weeks, it seems that my problem is unsolvable. Apparently this problem is because of GPU malfunction (which is really weird since this started after patching to a new patch and I can play other games just fine). I also tried patching to 5.9 today, but nothing changed.

But just because I can't solve this problem, it doesn't mean you can't. Here are the steps Riot support gave me to (try to) solve the issue. Run each step at a time and try to play League. If the problem persists go to the next one.

1 - Disable anti-aliasing in-game (there is a know FPS issue with anti-aliasing).

3 - Perform a clean reinstall of your graphics drivers
3.1) Click Start (Windows Key + Q in Windows 8).
3.2) Click Control Panel. If there is an option to Switch to Classic View, do so.
3.3) Click System.
3.4) Click the Hardware tab, then click Device Manager.
3.5) Click the "Display Adapter" tab and click the drop down arrow. You should see your device.
3.6) Right click your video card and select properties.
3.7) Under the Drivers tab, select uninstall and restart your computer.
3.8) Download and install the latest (or most stable) graphic driver form the official website
4 - Navigate to the following location on your computer: C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\Config. Delete the file "game.cfg" and try to play again (You might want to create a backup or you will lose your in-game configs like video settings and hotkeys).
5 - Create a file named "game.cfg" and copy the content of this link: http://pastebin.com/hnRhrQfr. Move the file to the location mentioned in step 4 and replace the existing one.
6 - Use the file provided by Riot from this site: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-u.... Search for "game.cfg".
7 - Use the repair tool of your League client
