Easy Stoveless Backpacking Recipe To Get Started

Описание к видео Easy Stoveless Backpacking Recipe To Get Started

(600 - 700+ calories) Stoveless backpacking, also known as no cook, or cold soaking! I started doing this for all my long distance hiking about 6 years ago, and this is the first meal that got me into it!

Recipe:
Near East Brand Couscous
sunflower seeds
pine nuts
raisins
knorr vegetable soup mix (basically just dehydrated veggies)
olive oil
curry powder
optional:
tuna
sun dried tomatoes

Part of the fun and what makes this so good is all the stuff you can add.

It's amazing how good so many foods can still be even when they aren't piping hot. But why else would you want to do this?

It's light weight! Saving nearly an entire pound from conventional cooking setups.
It's fast and efficient! If you're trying to get some extra time out of your day, this is fast and easy.
My favorite part, no hassle fiddling with cooking, just add your ingredients, some water, and go.
Also! In places with fire bans this is an incredible option that a lot of hikers opt for.
