Quick video showing to enable and configure the "Spectral Peaks" setting in REAPER DAW to color audio waveforms by full-spectrum-per-octave (resulting in them mapping directly to the notes/pitch in the octave they represent).

This is useful for many things. It's great for transcribing audio from songs, or when doing re-creations of popular songs. Or also for quickly looking at a media item and getting a sense of it's tonal character.
