Ever wondered how to grow plants in a Deep Water Culture hydroponics system? Well if you don't have have the space this mini DWC hydro system could be the perfect fit for your grow space. I typically use 5 gallon buckets for my hydro grows and I’ve had great success on them. I’ve seen others use 8 gallon buckets and I’ve thought about upgrading and scaling up my buckets as well. Because after all, the bigger and healthier the roots, the bigger and healthier the plant will be. In this video, i won be scaling up to bigger buckets, im actually down scaling to a smaller compact system that I made out of mason jar. I made a DIY DWC system out of a mason jar and it really cool to see the plants growing in such a small fixture. It's like the hydro version of a red solo cup. It doesn’t take up too much space in your grow room and you can grow some really awesome plants. I wouldn’t say it’s alternative to the DWC buckets but it is definitely a cooler option in my opinion for the nostalgia.
