The purpose of this testing is to evaluate and compare vehicle and occupant responses in vehicle to vehicle crash tests against full frontal rigid barrier crash tests conducted using a high resolution load cell barrier. A 2002 Ford Explorer XLT impacted a 2004 Honda Accord EX in the moderate overlap frontal configuration. The Ford Explorer contacted the left 50 % of the Honda Accord. The test was performed at MGA Research Corporation on May 27, 2004.

The Explorer was traveling at 95 Km/h (59 Mph) at the time of impact.
