In this video, the discussion is on ascending tracts - Dorsol column pathway and ventrolateral spinothalamic tract.

The difference between the dorsal column and the anterolateral pathway is explained.

The dorsal column pathway is also called as dorsal column medial lemniscal system. The sensations carried are fine touch, vibration, proprioception, pressure, two-point discrimination, tactile localization, stereognosis, and graphesthesia.

The ventrolateral spinothalamic tract is also called an anterolateral pathway. They carry pain, temperature, crude touch, sexual sensation, itch, and tickle.
