The Governing Documents define every aspect of Community Association living. But do you know what they are and what they do?

✅ CC&Rs are the declaration of covenants, conditions and restrictions. These define what you can and cannot do with your property.
✅ Articles of Incorporation establish the association as a corporation - a legal entity.
✅ Bylaws dictate how the corporation should be run, such as required meetings, officers, elections, etc.
✅ Rules dictate restrictions that apply to the membership. These are supplementary to the CC&Rs and control the use of items like amenities and architectural control.
✅ Policies dictate how the board governs itself and works with management. This can include items like a code of conduct or investment policy.
