The Neo is a good idea as it will cater to a more technologically demanding consumer while also offering the vanilla model to the casual consumer at an even lower price point. The only people upset here are those plagued by insecurities and or the developers who have to do extra work. Which they don't really have to as they can just run the vanilla version at 1080P.

If a game can run on a PS4 and a PC why would anyone think Vanilla PS4 owners would be left behind? The difference between Vanilla PS4 and Neo is vastly smaller compared to the gap that is PS4 and PC and the games still come out.
