A Discussion around Francis Chichester, his solo navigation around the world in 1966 and his unique Rolex Oyster Perpetual 1003 / 1007. Instead of choosing to wear a supplied Rolex GMT Master, a piece much more capable as a professionals instrument (especially for its application) He chose to wear his own simple, understated model instead. Without the watch he would have never found his way home again. An incredible feat that a Rolex was able to help accomplish.
