Returning to work after a career break can be a daunting experience. Women, in particular, who seek employment after a break of six months or more from the workforce, face several challenges, including difficulty landing interviews, finding themselves overlooked for senior roles, or struggling to navigate the recruitment process.

📊 A study reported that among those surveyed, interview anxiety (63%), drafting a CV poorly (38%), and a lack of understanding of how to highlight skills and talents to a potential employer (36%) presented as the top 3 factors that inhibited a confident return to work (Reed.co.uk, Research Without Borders via People Management, 2022).

Virtual Internships, in collaboration with Morris Property and Telford & Wrekin Cooperative Council, is proud to support Scotland-based women on their journey back to the work world. The program helps women transition back into the workforce by providing the tools and resources that allow them to network, work on hands-on projects, access career guidance and coaching ,and expand and strengthen their skills overall.
