Jose Rojas is an accomplished musician and recording artist as well as an author and passionate preacher. Jose serves as a member of the U.S. national organization TheAllianceforYout, founded by former Secretary of State Colin Powell, resulting in over 183 Adventist tutoring sites for underpriveleged children in 26 states and provinces across North America, He has worked with the White House over several years, assisting two Presidents with domestic policy initiatives for humanitarian leadership in the U.S. SCGC is proud to call him a friend.

This guitar was commissioned by Jose to reflect the healing of the Gurule family in Tres Piedras, New Mexico who lost their 18 year-old son Sammy and the Haupt family of Dundee, South Africa who lost their daughter Jonandi. Both young people were active community volunteers who served with distinction. They gave their ultimate sacrifice on two different highways, on two different continents. But they are united in the tasks they were performing: they served their communities with everything they had. This instrument is a testimonial to honor their memories in a tangible public leadership that sends out over 76,000 other volunteers to over 80 countries.

This exquisite instrument is a 12 String variation of our F Model, customized with Spiderweb figured Brazilian Rosewood sides and back, Adirondack spruce top, cutaway body, Adirondack bracing with hot hide glue, Maple binding on the body, fingerboard and peghead, Abalone backstrip, Abalone top border and rosette, custom Tree of Life and Praying Cowboy fingerboard inlay, Brazilian Rosewood peghead overlay, custom VICTORIOUS peghead inlay by Larry Robinson featuring a melted ring and diamond for the crown setting, gold Gotoh mini tuners, fossilized Mammoth nut, saddle and bridge/end pins with Blue Paua dots. Recently, Jose brought Victorious back to the shop for some much needed TLC. Once it was completed, local Santa Cruz musician Bill Walker was kind enough to stop by and give us an intimate sound demo with a fun medley that shows off the sonic intricacies of this unique piece of work.
