As one of the first Gods and brother to Gaia, Tartarus, and Nyx, Erebus had an important role on the myths of Greek Mythology as father to Aether and Hemera. One version of the myth even makes him father to Thanatos the God of Death, Eris the Goddess of Discord, and the Moirai, the three Fates.
