Intermediate Tie Dye Pattern the "V"

Описание к видео Intermediate Tie Dye Pattern the "V"

This video shows you how to tie and dye the "V" pattern.

1. Shirt is soaked overnight in soda ash and spun out in a washing machine.
2. Turn shirt inside out, fold in half vertically. The front of the shirt will be in two sections touching each other and the tag should be exposed.
3. Draw lines with washable marker for your desired design.
4. Pleat along lines, keeping them straight and bind. I typically bind pleats with sinew, but you can use whatever you want.
5. Dye each section. Use as many or as few colors as you want.
6. Flip your piece and dye each section on this side. Try to use different colors than the opposite side of the piece for each section.
7. Let cure for 24 hours at 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
8. Open piece and wash in washing machine. Two cold cycles and one hot cycle. You can put newly opened tie dye in the same wash or use old fabric (I use old towels if I only have one or two new tie dye pieces).
9. Hang dry.
