Introduction to the Incomplete-Dominant Arctic Morph, Western Hognose

Описание к видео Introduction to the Incomplete-Dominant Arctic Morph, Western Hognose

Today we get a look at the Incomplete-Dominant Arctic (also called the JMG Axanthic) morph and what it does to the Western Hognose snake!

The Arctic morph isn't quite a pattern or a color morph. It enhances the existing colors and creates more contrast between the markings and the background color. They usually have a "speckled" look to their headstamp and occasionally it can cause some fading towards the center of colored markings. Additionally, they often have a white outline surrounding their markings (and a bit of black behind the color, enhancing the contrast). The Super Form of the Arctic morph, called the Super Arctic, creates a gorgeous speckled contrast that results in an almost pure black and white snake.
