Netflix’s The Old Guard 2 promised eternal thrills…but left me immortal‑yawning. Here’s my spoiler‑free take on why this sequel fails where Charlize Theron’s first outing soared.

Directed by Victoria Mahoney, the film lands on Netflix today (2 July 2025) and reunites Andy, Nile and Booker while introducing Uma Thurman and Henry Golding. Sadly, dimly lit fights, a forgettable villain and an inconclusive cliff‑hanger keep this sequel from healing its mortal wounds.
