Between 2004 and 2006 Jennifer Bryson served as a lead interrogator at the infamous Guantanamo Bay detention camp in Cuba. Working for the DIA, Bryson was the first woman and non-military person to take on the role, overseeing the interrogations of the Saudi detainees, as well as carrying out interrogations with high-level al-Qaeda prisoners as well.

But Bryson started to feel uneasy with some of the interrogation methods that were being put in front of her, and refused to sign off on them. She says it was her Catholic faith, among other things, that caused her to examine her conscience and decide certain interrogation techniques were wrong. Now, in this exclusive interview, she tells EWTN's Colm Flynn about her time at Guantanamo Bay and why she thinks torture is never the answer.

Pope Francis, this month, has also released a video message, calling for an end to torture around the world.
