Well, Hey there guys and gals today, we're going to look at a cool story called the parable of the weeds. This is a story that Jesus told, and he said, the kingdom of heaven is like a farmer who spread good wheat seeds into his field. But in the middle of the night, an enemy of his came and spread bad seeds from wheat. Eventually the good wheat seeds that the farmer had sown began to sprout, but the bad weeds also sprouted his servants asked him, you only put good seeds in the field. How are weeds growing too? He told them an enemy of mine did this. The servants asked if they should pluck the weeds, but he answered no, because if you pluck the weeds, you may accidentally pluck the wheat as well. Let them grow together. And at the harvest time, the harvesters will collect the weeds first and throw them into the fire to be burned.

And then they will collect the wheat and bring it back into my bond. Okay. So this sounds like an interesting story, but what's it all about? Well, before I explain, I want you to know that we're super happy that you're here. We'd love to hear your thoughts on this story in the comments below. And we'd also be really, really thankful if you consider liking this video, as well as subscribing to our channel. So let's get to the explanation. Many have asked this question and it goes like this. Why does a good God let bad things happen? And I believe that this parable answers part of this question. Let me explain wheat represents the people that accept Jesus, but the weeds represent those that do not accept. Jesus. Notice that since they've both been sown in the field together, it's necessary for them both to grow up together.

If you were to pluck the weeds, you may also pluck out some of the wheat in the process. So in the same way, if God removed all of those who are not going to accept him from the world in the process, some of those who would have maybe lost now to be clear, God, doesn't like bad things to happen. And he doesn't cause them. But even when they do, he can still work through them. I want to look at one example in the Bible where he does this in the story of Moses, Moses comes to Pharaoh and he asks Pharaoh to let his people go so that they can leave this land. Pharaoh resists Moses. And as a result, God sends many plague on the people of Egypt. Now each of these plagues show God's power. And not only that, they show that he is the true God.

So after all of these plagues and signs from God, Pharaoh finally says, okay, I'll let them go. But because of Pharaoh being bad and resisting, God, God was able to show not only the Israelites that he was the true God, but even the other Egyptians. So in that same way, sometimes God can even use bad things to result in good things. This is part of the reason that God allows bad things to happen. It's super cool to see that we have a God that can use the bad things that happen for his good and even our own good. But sometimes we even have bad things in our heart, but God tells us that when we're forgiven and set free from these bad things, he wants to use those struggles that we had, that we can help others to overcome as well.

But then maybe some of us that still haven't accepted Jesus, but there's good news. We can do that today. All we have to do is make a decision to follow him and put him first in our lives. The Bible tells us that we can talk to God about this and that. If we truly commit with our heart to follow after him, that we will be saved. We can talk to him and ask him to change our hearts and guess what he will. Thanks for watching.
