Video of the Typhoon that was here before;    • GONE FOREVER: Oasis Typhoon: Camps To...

Merry Christmas everyone! As a special treat, here is a video of a NEW wash that I took a couple weeks ago. This is the BRAND NEW touch free system at Camp’s Self Service/Touch Free location on Charron Ave in Nashua NH!

Camps owns and operates 3 car washes in Nashua, and all 3 are in very close proximity of each other. Their gentle touch location and their other touch free/self service site are on the same road as each other, Amherst Road. The site here on Charron Ave, is located right across from Amherst Street right off of the highway. You use a small roundabout near a Burger King to get to the Charron Ave location.

Originally, the 2 touch free locations only had self service bays when they first opened, along with a laundromat at their Amherst street location. In the early-mid 2000’s, an Oasis Typhoon was installed at the Amherst Street location. Another Typhoon was installed at the Charron Ave location in 2007.

Both typhoons got some refurbishments done to them years later. The one on Amherst street got a new gantry, wash arms and new high pressure nozzles. The one on Charron Ave got new graphics, wash arms and a new drying system to replace the original ProtoVest In-Bay RM dryers that were originally installed with the typhoon in 2007.

However, in late 2022-early-mid 2023, the Amherst Street typhoon got torn out and thrown in the dump as it was replaced with a WashWorld RAZOR. The ProtoVest dryers at this location were kept, but had their bags changed to Blue as they used to be red. And not long after that was installed, the Typhoon at Charron Ave was replaced with another RAZOR.

Both RAZORS are pretty much the same, and they have a similar set up. Both still have the underbody sprays from the Typhoons, so they go off during the soaking process, and both also have Big Shot tire applicators as well, along with FormulaFinish chemicals, including the Synthetic Hot Wax, Ceramic Coat and Vision Max (a $3 add-on)

The wash shown in this video was the $25 “The Top Wash” with the $3 Vision Max add-on. So it came to a $28 wash. It included:

*Heavy Duty Presoak
*High Pressure Wash
*Undercarriage Flush
*Clear Coat Protectant
*Wheel Cleaner
*Triple Foam Polish
*Synthetic Hot Wax
*Ceramic Coat
*Vision Max ($3-add on)
*Spot Free Rinse
*Air Dry (via Sonny’s dryers)

Wash Quality: 11/10

Comments: the wash did a FANTASTIC job! It definitely cleans better than the typhoons that were here before. Slower washes definitely seem to outperform fast ones.
