Dr. Steven Shafer testified that Michael Jackson had such complex drug problems that he was in uncharted waters medically, calling it a "pharmacological never-never land."Dr. Conrad Murray told LAPD detectives that he thought Jackson was possibly addicted to painkillers, and he was also trying to wean Jackson off of the anesthetic propofol.
