መዝሙር ማለት ኣብ ቅድስቲ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተክርስቲያን ጸሎት፣ ምስጋና ውዳሴ ማለት እዩ። ከምቲ ኣብ ቅዱስ መጽሓፍ "ኩሉ ነፍስ ይሴብሖ ለእግዚአብሔር" "እስትንፋስ ዘለዎ ኩሉ ንእግዚአብሔር የመስግን" መዝ 150÷6 ተባሂሉ ከም ዝተጽሓፈ ዝተፈጠርናሉ ዕላማ እንዳመስገንና ናይ ክብሩ ወረስቲ ንኽንከውን ስለዝኾነ እዚ ኣልበም እውን ድሕሪ "ኦ ክብሪ ዝግበኣካ" ዝብል ቀዳማይ ኣልበመይ ዝሰራሕክዎ እንትኸውን እዚ መዝሙር እንዳዳመፅናን ሓቢርና ክነመስግንን ክነምልኽን ዝተዳለወ እዩ። ስለዚ ድማ ክቡራት ደቂ እግዚአብሔር ኣምላኽና ዝሃበና ጸጋ ናብኡ ክነቕርቦ ስለዝግበኣና ኣነ ሓፍትኹም ዘማሪት ብሩክታዊት ገብረመድህን እዚ መዝሙር ኣልበም ብናይ እግዚአብሔር ፍቓድ ናባኹም ኣቢለ ኣለኹ እሞ ድጋፍኩም ኣይፈለየኒ። "ሓዱሽ መዝሙር ዘምርሉ ብዕልልታ ኣፀቢቕኩም ቃንይሉ" መዝ 32÷3ቅዱስ
