Extensive Rescue After Rollover Crash | San Diego

04.23.2022 | 2:26 AM | SAN DIEGO - San Diego Fire-Rescue along with The California Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle rollover accident on the I-805 just near Home Ave.

Upon arrival, First Responders encountered a solo vehicle accident with a Lexus sedan on its roof.

The female driver of the Lexus was pinned inside the vehicle and was not responsive after striking the right shoulder guardrail causing her vehicle to flip onto its roof.

Firefighters used the “Jaws of Life” along with other equipment to try and extricate the woman from the vehicle.

It took approximately 40 minutes to free the woman from the vehicle.

She was transported to a local trauma center with major injuries.

It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.

The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident.
