Discovering Titanic's Wreck: The Fascinating True Story

Описание к видео Discovering Titanic's Wreck: The Fascinating True Story

One fateful night in April 1912, Titanic succumbed to its tragic doom and found its new home in the deep, dark depths of the Atlantic Ocean. There it would stay, untouched and unseen, for over 70 years. Though not for a lack of trying - many attempts were made to discover and salvage the spectacular wreck, but each faced their own challenges and obstacles; monetary and a couple of World Wars mean that the once great Oceanliner was left, forgotten, to settle in the silt of the sea.

Fast forward to 1985, where the latest in a series of expeditions carried out finally struck pay dirt - and for the first time in over half a century, the Titanic was found, in all her glory and all her doom. Join us as we explore the many attempts to uncover the most infamous shipwreck in history.

Oceanliner Designs explores the design, construction, engineering and operation of history’s greatest vessels– from Titanic to Queen Mary and from the Empress of Ireland to the Lusitania. Join maritime researcher and illustrator Michael Brady as he tells the stories behind some of history's most famous ocean liners and machines!
