I've wanted to see this in person for quite a while! Here's the Great Northern Class 717 Siemens Desiro City entering Highbury and Islington, then departing the underground tunnel station on 750V DC power.

You can also hear the door opening and door closing chimes, and see the doors in action as the train waits at the station.

The station is adjacent to the Highbury and Islington Victoria Line London Underground platforms. This is why the Class 717s have doors on the driving carriages, in case of emergency evacuation in a tunnel.

This specific unit is Class 717017, of the 717 /0 subclass. There are only 25 of these Class 717s.
