In part one, Terry delves into how he gained an interest in betting, how he took the risk of leaving his 9-5 job to make a living off betting and how he analyzes horses.

While a lot of professional punters rely on data and statistics, Terry takes more of a traditional approach in keeping a blackbook in which he notes runners from recently-watched races, before referring to his notes in making his own markets for each WA race that he bets on.
