One of the most common questions I get asked is how I managed to become a part of Lion Pride and how I can be so close to them in every situation. I made this video to give you guys an insight into what it's like to live alongside the King of Animals! For me, being a part of Lion Pride🐾 is the biggest achievement of my life. But it is not easy!

I am a 27-year-old Swiss guy who has devoted his whole life to the animal world! Presently, I live in Africa, I am a member of a pride lion, my wife is a hyena and I am the father of two monkeys. Besides, you have built a global voice for wildlife on our planet for the past two years!

Born in Switzerland (Zurich) on October 3, 1992, I have been fortunate to have grown up in a loving family with my sister (one year older) and my parents, who have always been very supportive and loving. My mother is originally from the Balkans (Southeast Europe), while my father is a Swiss citizen. I discovered my deep passion for wildlife at the age of six or seven through legendary Steve Irwin! He was the one who brought wildlife into my living room in Zurich and inspired and taught me about all kinds of different animal species.

Although I was very passionate about animals, I originally followed a very casual path to adulthood and ended up in the finance industry as a financial advisor. After a very successful year, I decided to start my own company, which then, over the next three years, allowed me to build the financial foundation for launching the Hakuna Mibaka venture at the age of 23-24.

Having started my life in South Africa, the additional financial support from my family allowed me to develop and develop the Hakuna Mibaka Oasis for 2 years without having to rely on any sources of income such as providing tour visits/programs, raising or trading animals, donations or any other cash business!

About Hakuna Mebaka:
The Hakuna Mibaka oasis is located on an area of ​​​​400 hectares (four million square meters) in the wilderness of South Africa! It is home to thousands of different wild animal species! Besides, the oasis is also a lifelong home to a few rescued wild animals, which were bred in captivity! We also do rehabilitation programs with different animals, which are released back into the wild.

Hakuna Mibaka Oasis is my personal home and private retreat not open to the public. We do not cater to tourists and do not allow any day visits or animal activities! We do not raise animals or trade in animals. I built this place for animals, not humans. Hakuna Mibaka Oasis is a safe, wild and lifelong habitat for the animals that live here.
