Assalamualaikum to all my Lovely Viewers,

Im so happy to share my favourite Garlic bread recipe from scratch.

French Bread Loaf – Garlic Bread

Ingredients:

• 1 cup warm water
• 1 tsp sugar
• 1 tsp instant or active dry yeast
• Pinch of salt
• 1 tsp olive oil
• 1.5 Cup Patent flour

Ingredients for Garlic Bread

Bread slices – 5-6 slices
Garlic Mince 3-4 tsp - Mix with 20 gms Melted Butter – Salted
Salted Butter 12gms
Dry Herbs – Basil and Oregano to sprinkle on the bread.
Mozzarella Cheese – Shredded – 40gms.

Preparation: Time: 3-4 hours

Activate the Yeast (if you are using dry yeast)


COOKING & INSTRUCTIONS

Take a nice Clean Bowl.

Add Flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
(note: if you are using dry yeast, kindly activate the yeast by adding lukewarm water to the yeast-once it turns frothy – your yeast is activated and ready to be added to the flour).
Combine all these ingredients well together.

Now gradually add warm water to make slight sticky dough.

The dough should clear the sides of the bowl and form a soft ball that does not leave a lot of dough residue on your fingers.

Now take 1 tsp of olive oil and knead the dough with olive oil until the dough smoothens.

Sprinkle some flour on the compartment and knead the dough until it soft smooth.

Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl and cover with a towel or greased plastic wrap. Let the dough rise until doubled, about an hour or so, depending on the warmth of your kitchen.

Once the Dough is doubled up.
Turn the dough onto a lightly greased surface and knead for 2-3 minutes.

Now Pat the dough into a thick rectangle.

Roll the dough starting from the long edge, pressing out any air bubbles or seams with the heel of your hand, and pinch the edge to seal. Arrange seam side down on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Cover with kitchen towel, and let the loaf rise until puffy and nearly doubled in size, about an hour or 2.
Preheat the oven to 180*c and make sure an oven rack is in the Centre position.
Now take a very sharp knife and lame cut several gashes at an angle on the top of loaf.
Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden and baked through.
Remove from the oven and apply some melted butter over the loaf and allow it to cool down completely before slicing the Bread.
Once the bread cools down completely, we shall now slice the bread and enjoy the freshly bake bread with AL BAKERS patent flour.
We can also make Garlic Breads.
Slice the Bread.
Apply unsalted butter over one side of the bread.
The other side apply the mince garlic with melted butter.
Topped up with some nice dry herbs like basil or oregano.
Now top up with some mozzarella cheese
Drizzle a bit of mince garlic with melted butter over and sprinkle little dry herb.
And now bake these beauties at 180*c for 15 mints in a pre-heated oven
Once baked, Serve Hot Hot Garlic Bread with some nice Soups and Salads for dinner and let your family enjoy this scrumptious and yummilicious meal at home!
