Kabuki on Netflix・What is it & Is it worth it? (featuring Toma Ikuta)

Описание к видео Kabuki on Netflix・What is it & Is it worth it? (featuring Toma Ikuta)

A couple of weeks ago, two kabuki films were released for streaming by Netflix: the newly written play "Akadousuzunosuke" (recorded in August 2021 at the Honda Theatre in Tokyo), and the accompanying documentary "Sing, Dance, Act: Kabuki featuring Toma Ikuta".

The production includes the popular actor Toma Ikuta, without previous kabuki experience, and his childhood friend, the established kabuki actor Onoe Matsuya II.

Is this just the first of many kabuki to appear on Netflix and other streaming platforms? Let's hope so!
