Propagating hibiscus trees by air layering is a fantastic method for creating new plants, especially for varieties that can be harder to root from cuttings. This technique involves encouraging root growth on a branch while it's still attached to the mother plant, then severing it later to create a new, independent hibiscus.

1. Choose a branch: Select a healthy, semi-hardwood branch that's about pencil thickness.
2. Make the cut: Using a sharp, sterilized knife, make two circular cuts about 1 inch apart through the bark. Expose the cambium layer by carefully removing the bark portion.
3. Prepare the aloe vera: Cut a fresh aloe vera leaf and scrape the gel from the inside. Apply aloe vera gel to the exposed cambium layer of the branch.
4. Cocopeat, Moisten the cocopeat by soaking it in water.Fill a clear plastic bag with cocopet. Pack the moist cocopeat around the exposed section of the branch, covering it completely. Tie the plastic bag tightly at both ends with zip tie or twine.
5. Once the roots are established, Gently remove the plastic bag so as not to damage any roots. Cut the hibiscus branch, using a sharp and sterilized cutter. Prepare a pot with well-draining soil. Give water well. Provide bright, indirect light. Keep the soil moist but not soggy.

Spring or early summer is the best time for air layering, as the plant is actively growing.
Choose a humid environment for better root development.
With proper care and attention, you'll soon have a new hibiscus tree to flower enjoy.
