Losing power in the middle of a night of long exposure astrophotography will shut you down quick! Creating a custom power and cable management solution eliminates the headache of a power cable becoming unplugged during a slew or meridian flip.

The really neat thing about making your own power cables is that you can make sure they are the right size. The purpose of moving all of my astrophotography equipment to the telescope is to eliminate the risk of cables snagging on your mount or dragging on the ground. It also provides the opportunity to shorten the lengths of all my astrophotography equipment power cables.
