"What we have built here are actually four forensic-standard mortuaries, that is where the bodies will come for each separate incident. We have also built a family centre which will allow the bereaved to see their loved ones.

"I think it is - to build four temporary mortuaries up the standards they have to be in such a short period of time, it's been very tough. I have to say that everybody has been absolutely fantastic. People have really pout themselves out to make sure we delivered it on time and I have to say that the residents and businesses locally that we have disrupted have been very sympathetic."

STORYLINE
Four temporary mortuaries and a support centre for bereaved families are now operational in the City of London.
Four huge white tents covering some 45,000 square feet have been erected at an undisclosed location near St Barts hospital, to receive bodies from each of the four bomb sites.
The process of identification will begin be conducted in the forensic standard mortuaries by teams of radiologists, forensic pathologists, fingerprint experts, photographers and a DNA expert.
The operation- code named Theseus by police - is thought to be the largest ever mounted by Westminster City Council.
Joe Duckworth, deputy chief executive of the authority, said the facilities were put together within 60 hours.
Police said there were now 49 bodies at the site and that all visible bodies have now been recovered from the wreckage of the tube train between Russell Square and King's Cross.
However, at Russell Square emergency workers are continuing to search to see
if any remains are hidden underneath the carriages of the train.
