Codex Zacynthius MS Add.10062, held by Cambridge University Library, is a palimpsest manuscript of the Greek New Testament. In the summer of 2018, it underwent multi-spectral imaging in order to recover the erased undertext as part of a larger project to create a new digital edition of the entire manuscript.

This video shows the imaging work of the Early Manuscripts Electronic Library (EMEL) and the University of Hamburg Centre for the Study of Manuscript Cultures, and introduces the scholarly project funded by the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council at the Institute for Textual Scholarship and Electronic Editing in the University of Birmingham.

SFB 950 “Manuscript Cultures in Asia, Africa and Europe” is sponsored by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and is part of the Centre for the Study of Manuscript Cultures, University of Hamburg
