On May 30, 2023 Ana Ablamonova of Operomanija held an online lecture on ZOOM.
Dive into the wonderful world of contemporary opera with Ana Ablamonova, producer and director of the Lithuanian Operomanija production house with a long-standing history of contemporary theater production. Ablamonova has made it her goal to bring music and opera outside of the confines of the rigid theater setting and close the gap between the art form and the community.
Learn about how Operomanija managed to popularize and revive opera, the unique challenges and benefits that go along with reformatting and modernizing a classical art form and all the fine-tuning needed to organize and host a contemporary opera festival, residencies and various sound recordings.
In this lecture Ablamonova shares recent productions organized by Operomanija, which push the boundaries of the classical art form and showcase a wide variety of possibilities of presentation and impact of contemporary opera.
