He played a pivotal role in establishing the India Semiconductor Association and served as its Chairman. Dr. Gupta is the founder of the EPIC Foundation, with a mission to advance India in Electronics & Semiconductors. He currently presides over the VLSI Society of India and collaborates with the Indian government on initiatives like the India Semiconductor Mission. His accolades include the IEEE Gordon Bell Award and a lifetime achievement award from the VLSI Society of India. Dr. Gupta holds a Ph.D. from Old Dominion University, with six international patents and over 40 technical papers to his name.
