Training for Life by Sunflare Songs/Garry Manuel
This documentary gives a behind the scenes look at thoroughbred horse racing trainers. The focus is primarily on the smaller-scaled horse trainers. Three horse racing trainers are interviewed by Garry Manuel, covering topics like training techniques, work routines, competing against mega-trainers, blacksmiths, colic, HISA (Horseracing Integrity & Safety Act), and much more. The video should appeal to those having a passing interest in horse racing as well as those who are avid enthusiasts.

The interviews are conducted by Garry and feature trainers, John Grabowski, a former leading jockey, now trainer at Finger Lakes Race Track, Orlando Noda, who operates primarily on the NYRA (New York Racing Association) circuit and Rachel Sells, located primarily at Finger Lakes Race Track, but also participates at the NYRA tracks. The interviews were conducted between August 14th through October 3rd, 2024.

Training for Life was produced by Garry Manuel. He is also responsible for the photography, videography, as well as the song material, which is performed by Sunup and Garry Manuel. Narration was done by James Wilson, known as Ethan Carey, who has long been an announcer on WRKI (I-95) in Fairfield, CT. Marshall Manuel recorded three of the songs and remastered the Sunup track, Sunday Ride.
