What you need
• High-quality shoe polish (wax)
• Leather cream (optional but recommended)
• Polishing cloth (cotton)
• A drop of water
• Horsehair brush

Step 1 — Prepare the leather

Brush your shoes thoroughly to remove dust and dirt.
If the leather looks dry, apply a thin layer of shoe cream to nourish it and let it dry for a few minutes.

Step 2 — Build a wax foundation

Apply a very thin layer of wax polish using your cloth or your fingers.
Work in small circular motions.
Let it set for 1–2 minutes, then lightly buff with a horsehair brush.

Step 3 — Add shine

Apply another thin layer of wax and gently buff again.
Repeat this step 2–3 times. This builds the structure needed for a deep shine.

Step 4 — Create the mirror shine

Now take a tiny bit of wax and add one drop of water.
Use fast, light, circular motions.
You’re no longer polishing the leather — you’re polishing the wax layers on top of it.

Repeat water + wax in micro-layers until the surface becomes smooth, glossy, and reflective like a mirror.

Step 5 — Final polish

Finish with a few drops of water and a clean part of the cloth.
Very light pressure.
This gives you that crisp mirror finish.
