Hey fellow J-Core lovers!
It's been a while but we are finally back with more gems of a very special subgenre of Hardcore - Touhoucore.
These come in all shapes and sizes - From traditional Hardcore, to Hardstyle, to Frenchcore and much, much more. The genre-defining factor here however are the various melodies from famous touhou (classic musical bullethell game) tracks, which form the foundations of these masterpieces. The effect is similar to genres like Gothic Hardcore, which are able to create a super unique level of musicality by blending together tame, melodic rhythms with raw, penetrating hardcore kicks.

As always, this is simply a loveletter to the genre we all enjoy. I've scouted for countless hours until I found a lineup in which I could listen to every individual track for hours on end. Hence why I can't emphasise this enough - This is not a mix, it's not supposed to be as I hardly understand what I'm doing in Audacity (lol)... These are my absolute favorites of the genre and I hope that YOU can find some new favorites as well!

The audio is quite compromised at times. This is due to some of the tracks being both incredibly hard to source in high fidelity, as well as being low in volume and thus a slight distortion is inevitable once you try to somewhat normalise that to an acceptable level. (Also, fk Youtube audio, it's always so damn low.
