Bundeswehr Mountain Units Attack

The Bundeswehr’s mountain units are part of the German army’s infantry, along with light infantry and airborne infantry. Soldiers of the mountain infantry have special skills beyond the basic infantry skills. They specialize in combat on difficult terrain and under extreme climatic and meteorological conditions. In a quarry near Bad Reichenhall, the soldiers of the 231st Mountain Infantry Battalion demonstrate their skills.
