Selimo Thabane ft. Pitso Rah Makhule - Lerato La Lehkulo

The Participatory Initiative for Social Accountability (PISA) has teamed up with local artists to produce songs that create awareness about the problem of overgrazing among livestock farmers, herders and stakeholders. The aim is to promote a healthy attitude towards the environment that will sustain the communities' livelihoods and protect the water resources.

Lesotho is experiencing an on-going, in some places rapid environmental degradation. The result are a depletion of soil quality and quantities and far-reaching negative effects for the livelihoods of the communities as well as long-term consequences for water security in Lesotho and the Southern African region. The bulk of this problem happens as a result of over-grazing palatable or preferred plants.
