-Co authorisation of widowed daughter & permanently disabled children for family pension & Processing cases for authorisation of pension
• As per DOPT O.M.No1/13/09-P&PW(E) dated 28.4.2011 , family pension is eligible to the widowed dependant daughter with effect from 30.8.2004.
• The Pensioner may at any time after retirement make a request seeking advance approval for grant of family pension for life to a widowed daughter as per provisions in Rule 54(2) of CCS (Pension) Rules 1972.
• In accordance with MOP, PG & Pension OM No. 1127/2011-P&PW (E) dated 01.07.2013, the Pensioner may at any time after retirement make a request seeking advance approval for grant of family pension for life to a permanently disabled child/sibling in terms of provisions contained in Rule 54 of CCS (Pension) Rules 1972.
• As per DOP & PW OM dated 28.10.2022, in respect of GS who is not in a position to submit pension forms due to any bodily or mental infirmity or died, the forms may be collected from the spouse and in the absence of the spouse, the member of the family eligible to receive family pension.
• But this has not been followed strictly and grievances are received.
• Again it is instructed to bring the provisions to all the concerned.
