New Falkland Islands Governor is Sworn into Office

If you were around over the weekend, you may have noticed a couple of new faces in the city of Stanley.
Her Excellency, Alison Blake CMG who was appointed as the new Governor of the Falkland Islands arrived in Stanley last Friday with her husband; retired Colonel Peter Henry.

Her Excellency was sworn in as Governor at the Town Hall on Saturday morning, followed by a ceremonial parade that took place on Victory Green.
